So, the Vikings finally lost today to the Pittsburgh Steelers. They fought hard, but just drew the short stick today. It was a well fought game, with the Vikings actually outplaying the Steelers. But when push came to shove, the Vikes turned the ball over twice in the fourth quarter with each getting ran back for a touchdown.
So I guess you can get some positives out of this loss, even though it is a loss and the Vikings are now 6-1. We learned that Sidney Rice is a beast, punter Kris Kluwe can't punt, and Chester Taylor should not be in the game at the end. If AP was in instead of him, that play would have at least gone for five yards and the outcome could, and probably would have been different. And, of course, the blown call by the ref when Sidney Rice scored a touchdown, but was negated because of a bogus tripping penalty. This would have put the Vikings up in the game and the Vikings could quite possibly have still been unbeaten.
But enough complaining. The Vikes are still first in their division and will win the division. The Lions and Bears are terrible, and the Packers just don't have the defense or offensive line to win the division. Sure, the Lions are improving, but they aren't good. The Bears got demolished by the Bengals today and are highly overrated. The Packers fans also need to stop bragging. They are back in the division and just beat the Browns. No Big Deal. That was for you McGriddle.
Now, let's focus on the Packers next week and kick some Lambeau butt. After which, the Vikings will be 7-1 and the Packers will know who is the best in the NFC Central.

Oh um what happened to that quarterback you guys drafted that was supposed to win games when you were behind in the 4th,
ReplyDeletehmm he didn't seem to do too hot for ya today did he. And btw beating the Browns is just as impressive as some of your guys wins.
Next week will be a good game. I honestly can't call it till I see how everyones practices go this week, and see the weather forecast for Sunday next week. So we'll just see
Btw the fumble that was returned for a touchdown is why he lost Favre lost his job to Rogers, those are going to show up a lot more in the 4th for you guys as the cold weather comes in
ReplyDeletethat was complete luck and then the interception returned for a touchdown wasn't favre's fault it was chester taylor. And by the way the vikes are 6-1 and the pack are 4-2, and i haven't seen you guys play the ravens and we beat you head to head so you can't talk
ReplyDeleteThe fumble wasn't luck. I think I've watched Brett Favre enough to know how he plays and what his weaknesses and often made mistakes are. I'm sorry to say that fumble wasn't complete luck. It's just Brett being Brett.
ReplyDeleteNow as far as the record thing goes. I can talk. It's football, talking is what those of us that don't play it do do. (hehe do do) Now you're a big football fan, so you should know that your teams record in the middle of the season doesn't define how good you are necessarily. Schedules aren't all equally as easy, or you could have a tough beginning and an easier end or something like that. btw I haven't seen you guys play Cincinnati yet.
Now as far as the game next week goes I said I wasn't going to call it. I'm honestly not sure. It depends on how each team does. You guys have been lucky and either Adrian Peterson or Brett Favre have played well in every game. What happens when those two have off days on the same Sunday?
And you guys didn't exactly shut us out when we played you. You won by one touchdown. And its a fact that The Packers play better in the cold then the Vikings. Also there's a little thing called home field advantage. Which is amplified in a legendary field like Lambeau.
So I'm not calling it either way. I just think you guys shouldn't be so cocky either because everyone on that field is a professional football player, and on any weekend anyone can potentially win. I think it's going to be a great game to watch. I've been looking forward to it all year it has everything I love in football: the Packers, Lambeau Field, cold weather, and Brett Favre.
